Open Security Exchange
Promoting Convergence of Physical & Logical Security
About the Open Security Exchange
Established in 2003:

Open Security Exchange is a Not-for-profit § 501(c)(3) association of security experts that provides a forum for A&E firms, consultants, end-users, government agencies, manufacturers, system integrators, and allied organizations to mutually define opportunities for Convergence & Interoperability.

OSE offers its Members an opportunity to shape and impact the future of Physical & IT Security Convergence.  Our Members represent a cross-section of Physical & Logical Security organizations from both the public & private sectors.  As an OSE member, you will be able to participate in the defining solutions for Convergence with other thought leaders in the industry.

As you and your associates evaluate the Open Security Exchange Membership for your company, please note the OSE goals outlined within this document and the attached brochure, which clearly defines the value of membership.  There is a very compelling business case to justify your General Membership; here are just a few:

  • General Members may participate on the Board of Directors responsible for driving convergence industry initiatives, developing, and voting on the strategic plan of the organization;
  • General Members can have as many individuals participate in any of the working groups or sub-committees as they deem valuable.

Through OSE sponsored activities such as our Convergence Council, industry work-groups and educational seminars the OSE is a force for thought leadership and education on convergence topics.   In addition, only OSE Members have access to our web-based Convergence Roadmap™ tool.  This interactive program helps security practitioners and service providers alike understand the myriad issues and potential solutions for achieving physical and IT security convergence.

  • Mission:
    To facilitate the widespread awareness of the benefits that are realized through the Convergence of Physical & Logical Security.

  • Objective:
    Provide a forum for collaboration and knowledge that will ultimately deliver processes and technology to bring security professionals together under One Security Goal.

Statement from the OSE Chairman:

Laurie Aaron, Director Strategic Sales, Quantum Secure, Inc.  As a member, my company has been able to adjust and modify our product & service offering with market demand due to our close proximity to end users, who are thinking along these lines.  The people we come in contact with through the Open Security Exchange are already pre-qualified as being interested in convergence solutions and having a “need to know”.  Based upon their level of activity with the OSE and the relationships enhanced through a non-profit education forum, we gain trust and sincere interest based on the expertise we can display in a non-sales environment.  We have developed many revenue generating opportunities through our participation and visibility with the OSE…
